What? Why?
Two-factor authentication (2FA) is a simple solution to better protect your account. This extra layer of security in MyCodabox is similar to the two-factor authentication you know from online government services: you use your login with password, and then an additional step where you generate a unique verification code via an authentication app to confirm your login.
This limits the risk of others gaining access to your account and data.
What is an authentication app?
How does it work in MyCodabox? |
Two-factor authentication is not mandatory for MyCodabox. It is highly recommended though, to protect your data and that of your company/ies even better.
Don't have an authentication app yet?

2FA Troubleshooting |
Lost your smartphone or no longer have access to your authentication app?
With a few questions, we will first confirm your identity. Then we can disable two-factor authentication for your account. You can then log in using only your email address and password. Afterwards, you can re-enable the option yourself if you wish.
You want to log in. Where to find the verification code?
In the next screen, you now have to enter the verification code.
Your authentication app automatically generates a 6-digit verification code, which remains valid for a few seconds. After that, a new 6-digit verification code continuously appears. Therefore, always use the most recent code from your app and enter it in the verification screen in MyCodabox.
You're entering the verification code but it is not accepted?
- Are you using the right authentication app? Always use the same app you used when you enabled 2FA for your MyCodabox account.
- Did you enter the right 6-digit 'MyCodabox' code? Try again with the most recent verification code: enter this code in the verification screen in MyCodabox.
Your authentication app remembers previously generated codes, but they only remain valid for a limited time and are not accepted after that. Your authentication app continuously generates a new verification code. Therefore, always use the most recent code from your app.
